Baguio City recently concluded its highly anticipated Panagbenga Festival 2025, captivating both locals and tourists with its vibrant floral displays, cultural showcases, and lively performances. This year’s theme, “Blossoms Beyond Boundaries,” highlighted inclusivity, sustainability, and global cultural connectivity, reinforcing the festival’s growing significance beyond the Cordillera region.

A Grand Celebration of Culture and Creativity

The Grand Street Dance Parade, held on February 22, 2025, drew thousands of spectators as performers from various schools danced through the streets in colorful, elaborate costumes. The parade route spanned Panagbenga Park, Session Road, Harrison Road, and Lake Drive, culminating at the Melvin Jones Football Grounds. The performances were a vibrant display of Cordilleran culture, featuring rhythmic tribal beats and energetic choreography.

Adding to the spectacle was the participation of the Philippine Military Academy’s Color Guard, Band, and Cadets, alongside local cultural groups like the Balitok Tribe and students from Saint Louis University, all contributing to the grandeur of the event.

The Grand Float Parade: A Floral Masterpiece

On February 23, 2025, the much-anticipated Grand Float Parade took center stage. Stunningly designed floats, adorned with a myriad of flowers, showcased the artistry and creativity of the participants. Each float told a unique story, with some featuring traditional Cordilleran motifs, while others embraced modern and contemporary themes. The breathtaking floral creations reaffirmed Baguio’s reputation as the “Summer Capital of the Philippines” and a hub of creativity and culture.

Throughout the festival, Session Road in Bloom transformed Baguio’s main thoroughfare into a bustling pedestrian market. This segment of the festival provided an opportunity for small businesses to thrive while giving visitors an authentic taste of Baguio’s rich heritage.
